Abstract
Based on the equivalent circuit method and the Fourier transform technique, an approximate analytical model for calculating the shielding effectiveness of an apertured rectan- gular cavity against planar electromagnetic pulse is presented. The validity of the theoretical model is verified by the comparison with the full-wave electromagnetic simulation software CST. The effects of the aperture’s shape and size, and pulse width on the pulse shielding effectiveness are analyzed.
