Lockable containers are commonly applied in both long-term and short-term stor- age of materials, substances and commodities. In repeatedly used containers, however, cleaning is a crucial problem: traces of previously stored materials have to be removed quickly and ef- fectively, especially in the case of biological compounds or toxic, radioactive, and otherwise hazardous substances.
