Substrate Integrated Waveguide Frequency Reconfigurable Filter Controlled by Magnetic Field

Abstract
In this work, a novel upper and lower sideband tunable SIW bandpass ferrite filter is presented. With the application of an external magnetic bias on the ferrite slabs, the lower sideband of the filter can be adjusted from 8.8 GHz to 10.7 GHz and the upper sideband can be tuned from 9.3 GHz to 12.0 GHz. Compared to previously reported frequency tunable SIW filters, the proposed filter offers a relatively wide tuning range and flexibly reconfigurable abilities while dramatically reducing the complexity of external control circuit.
