Abstract
Nanoscale plasmonic switch based on graphene at far infrared frequencies are pro-
posed and designed. Mode-guiding switching/mode-cutoff analyses are given for the modulation
function. High modulation depth and bandwidth can be obtained. This plasmonic graphene-
based switch can be used to promote the performance of current switches in the integrated optical
field, providing another method for interconnect in ultrahighly integrated photonic circuits.
