Abstract
In this paper, we report a side information free partial transmit sequence (PTS) technique to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for coherent optical OFDM sys- tems using superimposed training. Simulation results show that this scheme can reduce PAPR effectively, and have a slight BER performance improvement compared with the conventional superimposed training coherent optical OFDM systems.
