Abstract
We designed and fabricated a thermo-optic tunable filter based on silicon double
ring resonator for external cavity laser. The footprint of the device is ∼ 700 µm × 400 µm. The
tuning range is about 16 nm and the tuning efficiency of the device is estimated to be about
0.56 nm/mW, owing to the Vernier effect.
