Abstract
In this paper, the information theory is introduced to design the optimal waveform for through-the-wall application. Furthermore, the signal model and the target response are analyzed. By comparing the designed signal and the LFM signal, it is shown that the designed waveform achieves a significant improvement than the LFM signal in the aspect of obtaining mutual information of the target response.
